Dashboard fit out (February 2006)

With the bodywork painted, some of the interior fittings could be reinstated.

Padded vinyl

Time to reinstall the original padded dash. The steering column also went back in, despite its determined efforts to resist. Note the ‘new’ radio. It came out of a vintage Porsche, so if that doesn't make the Beetle go faster, what will ? Having finally got all the bodywork holes filled in, it was time to drill some new ones to feed the cables to the lights through. Ho hum.
