Number 250 spent its resting years in Norfolk, but the restoration work was carried out in Essex.
The Beetle being pulled out of its shed. You can almost see it blinking in the unfamiliar daylight. The car was started up from time to time during its resting years, and generally fired up without complaint. However, it's not much fun trying to reconnect a Beetle battery in a confined space, so a helpful tug was appreciated.
Number 250 was a long way from roadworthy condition, so had to be taken back to Essex on a transporter for restoration to begin.
