I have just purchased this beetle which I intend to restore. It has only driven 5,800 miles in the last 7 years, but unfortunately was left out in the elements by the previous owner, so needs some real TLC. Fortunately, it has had some very loving previous owners and has a full service history including all MOTs with all names and addresses of owners. It also completed the London to Brighton rally in 1998. The beetle was imported from Germany in 1977 and spent some time on a turntable in a showroom window of a VW dealers in Crawley. When I get round to starting the resto, I will send pictures.
