I bought this car back in 2001 when I was a teenager. The previous owner had the engine reconditioned, he loved the car and drove it daily until he acquired a company car and no longer had room for it. My Father drove the car for one summer and we had plenty of fun weekends and evenings out in it. We stripped the car back to a body-off chassis state to assess the condition properly and restore the car to peak condition ready for me being old enough to drive. Unfortunately our estimated timeframe began to grow and we have had neither the time nor space to restore the car, hence it has been left stripped down and garaged for the past 17 years.
The car needs the attention of a VW enthusiast and I would like to see the car go to a good home and be back on the road someday. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested !
